There are countless countries throughout Omniluxia, each with its own history, culture, and ambitions. The world's map begins in 1000 LC, three centuries after the Great Collapse and the Great Split of 690 LC shattered the old order. This page gives an overview of prominent powers and playable starts, grouped by region.

Generated Start Atlas

These entries are generated from the current playable start data and include flags, starting territory panels, and country atlas maps.

The Zani Successor States

The two halves of the fractured Zani Empire remain the dominant civilizations of Luxterra.

  • Razani Empire - the Eastern Empire of the Zani, ruled from the Unconquered City by the aging Razani line. It is threatened by Helluvianism, unclear succession, and entrenched vassals of the Theon System.
  • Nazani Empire - the Western Empire of the Zani, the "Rise of the Purple Phoenix." The House of Nazani styles itself Emperors of the West and secretly funds Orcish colonies to destabilize the Borderlands.
  • Kingdom of Ytalia - loyal Zani subjects and defenders of the Golden Pathway, founded by Cyrogelos the Loyal. Ytalia is torn between the Cult of Zanis and spreading Helluvian faith.
  • Werhenlanders - fractious duchies of Greater Werhen, once the easternmost province of the Zani, resisting reunification since the Great Collapse.

The Jarenamid and Baetepian South

  • Jarenam's Heirs and the Totrazi - the crumbling empire built by Jarenam the Formidable Dragon, stabilized under a cunning new ruler but surrounded by enemies.
  • Sertemic Kingdom of Baetep - Zanicized Phanicians of the House of Sertem, who seized Baetep amid the Jarenamid invasions.
  • Kingdom of Dune and Upper Baetep - the True Pharon and his allies, who seek to restore Djehid rule and cast out the false god Zanis.
  • Phanician Kingdoms - rival successor states carved from Jarenam's realm.
  • Gold Dwarves of Azari - heirs of the fallen Mahdad Sho-Tan'Maat Ma'Azari, yearning to rebuild Etemenazari and reclaim their Golden Kingdom.

The Zainudian and Zaraken East

  • Zainudian Tribes - faithful of Zain'ud, splintered after the collapse of the cruel Zakara Kephal in the Great Zinduidian Revolt of 934 LC.
  • Zarakens of Kyaxares - the rump state of the ancient House of Zakara, rebuilding amid hostile neighbors.
  • Kaffira Kingdom - an emergent expansionist kingdom threatening the holy cities and the Iron Foothills.

Morrigon

Arteon, Eptelon, and Horteon

  • The Island of Eternal War (Arteon) - a fractured island of native Arteonians, High Elven colonies, and Aralan half-elves. Its northern mountain houses hide a secret vampire pact.
  • Eptelon - settled tribes pushed into marshes by Arteonian raiders, High Elves, and Ular-Pria slavers.
  • Horteon and the Gnomes - the Continent of Fire and Ice, where Horteonians, Eptelonians, native Gnomes, and the Atheusian High Elven slaver-empire compete.
  • Polaria - Gnomes of Kemi, united under the Jemskoo king and armed with Projection Magic, poised to retake their homeland from the Northerners.

The Isles and Waters

  • The Snake Isles and Ular-Pria - rebuilt Snakefolk cities after the Great Collapse devastated their empire.
  • The Bloody Isles - Orcish homelands of Rendun and Remun, ruled by the Great Families of the Nurhanuoragias.
  • Marenica Sea - mercantile Illorian city-states, the Helluvian Shannah, and encroaching Werhenlanders.
  • Sea Elves - elusive masters of the North Inter Sea.
  • Stellarics - republics around Northstar Bay who worship the Visitors that fell from a star.

The Wilds and Deep Places

  • Blood-Stained Drow - dark-faithed Elves who erupted from the deep to conquer Norrfalian tribes.
  • Kingdom of Herue - a Helluvian bastion on the ruins of a Drow kingdom, now torn by four claimants to the Iron Crown.
  • Zerywani - horse-nomads descended from the Three Brothers Zehi, Rossovi, and Lechi.
  • Five Tribes of Dzunge Duny - sky-worshipping steppe raiders on the edge of the Geallian world.
  • Qoes - Copper Dwarven descendants of Edis the Grim, holding Bad-Furqorin, the City of Cinnabar, on the Skyreach Steppes.
  • Kinones - clans and city-states of the Peaceful Valley, bound by faith in Kon.
  • Wood Elves - Waldonian, Aneic, and other dwellers of the World's Lungs and scattered Eldritch woods.
