Srrorum
The Kingdoms of Srrorum are the united polities of the Silver Dwarves of the Green Valley. In Silver Dwarven history, only three rulers have claimed the title Togg, or king, of Srrorum: Htgarth "to Vernunghaltt," Hefdarr Duggmoggen "to Togg," and Hartbaltt I Talmoggen "to Wieddrmogg."
Srrorum is not merely a state. It is a sacred ideal of Silver Dwarven unity, ancestral legitimacy, and restored Mythic Age grandeur.
The First Kingdom¶
The First Kingdom of Srrorum was founded by Htgarth and Ferja in the Mythic Age after their emergence from the Silver Caves. It oversaw the Golden Age of the Silver Dwarves.
Written and oral accounts claim the kingdom stretched from the Green Valley to the Gorrskkoen Forest, now the Western Lungs Forest, and into the Dragon's Pass. Tales remember great cities, aqueducts, roads, public works, Mythril forges, and the creation of long-burning Dverpi Coal.
The First Kingdom ended after the deaths of the three demi-god dwarven pairs. Dwarven political chaos allowed Forest Elves to migrate and seize old Silver Dwarven lands. In the Farlands, Elven settlers planted the first Yaga Trees, beginning the transformation of the Gorrskkoen Forest into the Western Lungs Forest. Silver Dwarven enclaves in the Dragon's Pass were later pushed back by Dragkhans and eventually exterminated or expelled by Hobgoblins.
The Second Kingdom¶
After long division, Prince Hefdarr Duggmoggen of Duggmannri conquered and consolidated the Green Valley during the Unification Wars. He was aided by skilled generals and statesmen such as Ulffgrdd "to Jallurr," Olltar "Sennmogg," and Righstadd "to Fromm."
Hefdarr then faced a Zani expeditionary force in the Great Zani War. His decisive victory at Hlivikkabi ensured Anvindr independence and kept the Zani Empire from ruling the Green Valley.
His reign produced major works such as Gerrbaen, Veddtunn, the Sennjallur, and the fort-city of Hlivikkabi. It also saw the establishment of the Order of Sennmoggen, sworn to protect the sacred Silver Caves and the true Togg of the valley.
The Second Kingdom dissolved into petty kingdoms after Hefdarr died without heirs in 669 LC.
The Third Kingdom¶
Hartbaltt I Talmoggen rose during renewed Green Valley chaos and sought to emulate Hefdarr. Backed by competent generals, better resources, improved tactics, and the Order of Sennmoggen, he subjugated the valley during the Second Unification Wars and declared himself Togg of the Third Kingdom.
He renamed himself Hefdarr II, claiming descent from a lost bastard child of the great king. His reign introduced the Sennfernnen, renewed the Sennjallur, expanded magical research in the Green Valley, and launched an invasion of the Western Forest Elves.
Reconquest Dream¶
At its height, the First Kingdom of Srrorum extended beyond the Green Valley, across the Gorrskkoen Forests, along the Southern Sea, and deep into the Dragon's Pass. Reclaiming those lands is the great dream of a reunited valley.
The Green Valley is sealed by two great fortifications: the Western Gate, which holds back Elven raiders, and the Eastern Gate. Beyond them lie old dwarven cities, dangerous forests, and enemies who inherited former Silver Dwarven territory.
The Western Lungs Forest swallowed cities such as Steffanskkopiabi and Gorrvlikkabi. It is now home to the Admadi Elves and their Three Silokhai, or Silk Cities. The Dragon's Pass contains the Ahualtzi, Droishu and Shoishoni Hobgoblins of Driotrai and Tlazcal, Urhuk nomads, Jishani, and Kanai Goblins of the Inner Dragon's Pass. Ruined Silver Dwarven cities such as Hthgartgerrpiabi, Haejbaenabi, and Asennabi still lie there.
Mythic Legacy¶
Silver Dwarven tradition remembers Srrorum's lost golden age through its wonders: Mythril, Dverpi Coal, Verobaen Farms, the Royal Roads, and the sacred city of Srrovikkabi. Veddabi, the City of Knowledge, remains the academic and magical heart of the valley, while the Gerrmoggen, or Mountain Men, preserve esoteric magical styles in the hills.
The six nations of the modern Green Valley include ascendant Duggmannrum, whose king seeks to restore the Second Kingdom and claim Hefdarr's mantle.
