Silver Caves

The Silver Caves, found near the city of Srrovikkabi in the Green Valley, are an important economic, cultural, and religious site for the Silver Dwarves.

Economic Importance¶

The Silver Caves are a major source of both silver and platinum. Their reserves are regarded as nearly unlimited because no one knows how deep the caves reach. This wealth helps explain the enduring importance of Srrovikkabi and the surrounding Green Valley kingdoms.

Religious and Cultural Importance¶

In the Srrohebrikk religion, the Silver Caves are sacred because of their role in the Emergence myth. Htgarth and Ferja are said to have emerged from these caves during the Mythic Age, and after death became the Silver Stones when laid to rest within them.

For this reason, Silver Dwarven heroes are also laid to rest in the caves. Burial there places them symbolically beside the divine founders of the Silver Dwarven people.

Pilgrimage¶

The Silver Caves are a major pilgrimage site for followers of the Srrohebrikk variation of Hebric. The bravest and most pious venture deep into the caves hoping to glimpse the Silver Stones.
