Htgarth

Htgarth—also written Hthgart—was the elder male figure of the three dwarven founding pairs and the partner of Ferja. In the shared dwarven origin story known as The Emergence, the Stone Father fashioned the pairs from clay mixed with silver, gold, or copper. Htgarth and Ferja were the silver pair and the first to reach the surface.

The Silver Caves¶

Htgarth and Ferja emerged from the Silver Caves, where Srrøvikkabi now stands. They led their descendants into the Green Valley, conquered the surrounding lands, and founded the first Kingdom of Srrørum. Silver Dwarven accounts associate their reign with the Golden Age, when Srrørum stretched beyond the valley and created roads, aqueducts, great cities, Mythril, and long-burning Dverpi coal.

The Timeline places the end of this order at the Battle of the Dragon’s Head. Old Dragkhan hordes overwhelmed the Terran Coalition, killed all three dwarven pairs and the great Elven kings, and brought down the first dwarven kingdoms.

The Silver Stone¶

Dwarven tradition holds that the founders were returned after death to the caves from which they emerged. Htgarth became one of the Silver Stones, reuniting with the Stone Father. The caves consequently became the holiest burial place of the Silver Dwarves, and later heroes were laid to rest beside the founding pair.

In Srrøhebrikk, Htgarth and Ferja are revered as the true heirs of the Stone Father. This claim distinguishes Silver Dwarven ancestral religion from the Gold and Copper traditions, which privilege their own pairs.
