Stone Father
The Stone Father, also called the Father of Stone or God of Stone, is a Primordial creator and the father of the dwarves. Together with Mother Earth, he shaped the early world and stood at the center of the Terran Coalition during the Great Primordial War.
Father of Dwarves¶
Around 52,000 BLC, the Stone Father created the first dwarves. Three demigod pairs emerged from the Gold, Silver, and Copper Caves and founded the semi-mythical kingdoms of Srrorum, Mahdad Sho-Tan'Maat Ma'Azari, and Anempanso.
These founding pairs linked dwarven identity to the materials of creation: gold, silver, and copper. Their emergence gave the dwarves both divine ancestry and a claim to the great mountain and cave civilizations that followed.
The Great Primordial War¶
When Melodias enticed the Lord of the Winds into war against the lands below the skies around 31,000 BLC, the Stone Father joined Mother Earth and their children in the Terran Coalition. Their enemies were the Lord of the Winds, the Old Dragons, and the Sky Empire.
The war ended disastrously for the earthbound peoples. At the Battle of the Dragon's Head, hordes of Old Dragkhans overwhelmed the coalition. All three demigod dwarven pairs died, the great elven kings fell, and the semi-mythical dwarven kingdoms collapsed.
Slumber and Dwarven Isolation¶
The Stone Father retreated into eternal slumber after the catastrophe. His despair marked the beginning of the Dwarven Age of Isolation, as dwarven civilization withdrew from broad imperial ambition into fortified holds and surviving urban centers.
Even after his withdrawal, his legacy endured through dwarven kingship, cave origins, and the memory of the first kingdoms. Later dwarven peoples continued to measure decline and restoration against the age before the Old Dragkhan invasions.
