Geallians

287 words·1 min read

The Geallians are a militarized and urbanized human people living beside Baetepians, Intermarenicans, and other old Luxterran and Morrigonian societies. Their culture was transformed by the rise of the Eagelian Kingdom and the later Zani Empire.

Identity

Geallians can be found across Morrigon and Luxterra as a result of Zani imperial settlement, conquest, and administration. Not all groups agree on who counts as truly Geallian, and this dispute has grown as Geallian communities have been separated by the Great Collapse and the division between Razani and Nazani successor worlds.

Most "true" Geallian cultures have become increasingly Eagelian after centuries under the Zani, though some communities in mountainous, desert, or forest environments preserve older local forms.

Culture

Geallians are intense in nearly everything they do: partying, conquering, building, innovating, arguing, and governing. Their cities value order, public life, military service, and the claim that Geallian civilization stands above surrounding peoples.

They also have some of the strongest magical traditions in the world. Magonis the Wise, the founder of institutional magic, was Eagelian, tying Geallian culture directly to the rise of organized magical scholarship.

Religion and Symbols

Geallians show particular reverence for wolves, Wishtheon, time, and order. The Luxterran Calendar, Zanisite imperial religion, and older wolf traditions such as Lupinite all shape their view of civilization.

Their imperial identity reached its fullest expression under Zanis the Great, whose conquests turned Geallian identity into a political language used by later Razani, Nazani, and Zanicized peoples.
