Dwadais
Dwadais was the female figure of the youngest dwarven founding pair and the partner of Frei. She is remembered as an ancestral founder of the Copper Dwarves and a ruler of ancient Anempanso.
Foundation of Anempanso¶
According to The Emergence, the Stone Father created Dwadais and Frei from copper-bearing clay. They emerged from the Copper Caves at Bad-Idna, conquered the Dwarven Grandlands, and ruled the realm translated as Skyreach.
The pair’s reign formed the youngest branch of the Dwarven Golden Age. Anempanso stood beside the first Kingdom of Srrørum and the Gold Dwarven empire as one of the three great realms established by the Stone Father’s children.
Fall and memory¶
Dwadais and the other founders died during the Battle of the Dragon’s Head, when Old Dragkhan hordes destroyed the Terran Coalition and brought down the ancient dwarven kingdoms. Later dwarven tradition states that each pair was carried back to its place of emergence and transformed into stones of silver, gold, or copper.
The memory of Dwadais and Frei survived the destruction of their state. Copper Dwarven accounts continue to place them at the beginning of their people, while modern attempts to reunite the Skyreach Mountains present restoration as a return to the homeland first conquered by the pair.
