Magic Styles

The magical practices of Omniluxia are organized into four broad styles: Omnic, Amten, Aldic, and Melodian. These styles classify the source or object of a spell rather than every local method of casting. Folk Magic exists alongside them as a collection of regional practices.

Omnic magic

Omnic magic is divine magic granted through gods, worship, and sacred authority. Its schools include the Hierophant and Oracle traditions. Recorded effects include exorcism, divine blessings, revelation, and the power to confront Melodian beings.

Amten magic

Amten magic manipulates physical matter, elements, and living nature. Elementalists work with minerals, wind, stone, and earthworks, while Druids promote plant growth, summon Dryads, and call upon nature’s bounty. Stone Magic applies the same physical principles to construction and dense rock.

Aldic magic

Aldic magic concerns spirits, minds, souls, and perception. Clerics heal disease and strengthen vitality; Illusionists alter morale, thought, and flesh; Charm practitioners influence personality and loyalty; and Soul Magic strengthens or searches the anima.

Melodian magic

Melodian magic channels power associated with Melodias. It is among the most powerful and dangerous styles because its techniques commonly require sacrifice or a pact. Necromancers inflict curses and summon Warborn, while Warlocks trade pain, health, or life for martial and destructive power.

Schools and overlap

Schools are specialized traditions within the wider styles. The spell lists show that a style can contain constructive, healing, military, and offensive practices at once. A style therefore does not define a caster’s morality or profession by itself, although Melodian sacrifice and domination make that tradition especially feared.
