Zorg

The Zorg are a race of alien beings who recently crash-landed on Omniluxia. Their arrival sets them apart from the world's older divine, mortal, and post-Collapse races: they are not known to descend from Kosmic Beings, Primordials, mana corruption, or any native lineage.

Arrival¶

The Zorg arrived in a gigantic ship shaped like a triangular prism, reported by some witnesses to be miles wide. The vessel was seemingly destroyed on impact. Because the crash is recent, most accounts are fragmentary, and much of what is known comes from rumor, frightened observation, and early attempts to study survivors.

Their arrival creates a new category of threat and mystery. Omniluxia has seen gods, dragons, vampires, wraiths, and eldritch races, but the Zorg appear to come from beyond the known world entirely.

Biology¶

The Zorg have reddish skin and wide, piercing eyes. The strangest reported trait is genetic: the DNA of every known member of the species appears to be entirely identical, with no detectable variation.

This has led some scholars to question whether they are living beings in the ordinary sense. They may be clones, constructs, a single organism split into many bodies, or something for which Omniluxian natural philosophy has no good category.

Historical Significance¶

The Zorg are still too new for a settled history, but their presence may become one of the defining mysteries of the current age. They force scholars to ask whether Omniluxia is only one world among many, and whether the old divine histories explain everything that can arrive from the sky.

Not to be confused with Zorgolis of Gevanni, the human writer of the late Razani Empire.
